A Bass club in Austin, Texas
About TCBC

The Texas Classic Bass Club meets in Austin, Texas, and fishes primarily local area lakes (Travis, LBJ, Dunlap, Austin, etc.) We hold a tournament once each month consisting of six partner tournaments and six draw tournaments each calendar year. Our tournaments have a $25 entry per person, but we primarily fish for bragging rights. Our March tournament each year is a two-day tournament held in conjunction with our Classic Tournament. We also hold a two-day tournament in the fall. Typically the two-day tournaments are held on lakes other than the local area lakes (Sam Rayburn, Choke Canyon, Falcon, etc.) The Classic Tournament is open only to members of the club that qualify during the previous year with the pot consisting of the money left in the club treasury at the end of the preceding year. Therefore, all the money paid in club dues and tournament entry fees is paid out to club members during the course of the year minus a small amount needed to cover the costs of maintaining the club's weigh equipment and this web site. We also use a points system to determine an Angler of the Year. The club meets the first Thursday of each month to conduct club business including determining what lake will be fished at that months tournament. We meet at VFW Post 8787 at 7:00 PM. VFW Post 8787 is located on the north bound frontage road of IH-35 just north of Braker Lane.

The real focus of the Texas Classic Bass Club is to develop a camaraderie among members and to share fishing knowledge through our tournament program. If this sounds like something you would be interested in then click over to the Members and Officers page and send one of the officers some email. As soon as one of us gets off the lake we'll answer any questions you have and invite you to one of our meetings and/or tournaments. From there you can decide if you want to join. Don't worry about your experience level as we have members at all levels of experience.
